My Services

The most basic and fundamental act of ministry and discipleship is a "conversation." Like Susan Scott has pointed out in her book "Fierce Conversations," The conversation is not about the relationship, the conversation is the relationship!

My conversations with you will help you or your group grow.  I can also  train you or your group how to have conversations that help others grow, thus the name, "Conversations that Grow!" "The Conversations that Grow" framework uses three communication tools that  enables us to learn, practice, and teach conversations that grow in our relationship with Christ and each other.

Professional Coaching

From a biblical perspective I utilize communication skills from solution focused coaching and appreciative inquiry to promote growth, healing, reconciliation, motivation, and personal clarity with individuals or groups. Conversations that Grow seeks to facilitate conversations required for individuals and groups to figure out their next right step, their next best step, or their next Christ-like step.

Communication Training

I practice and teach three primary communication tools. The "Communication Map" guides us to accurate awareness of each other through five talking and listening skills from the "I" orientation. "The Process Compass" help us manage our communication intentions and objectives. "The Conversation Gear Shift" helps us shift from communicating to know to communicating to influence.

Conflict Stewardship

Conflict is the very best opportunity to grow spiritually mature in Christ. Too often we avoid conflict or just fight back. Therefore when conflict strikes, we must be good stewards of the opportunity. The Bridge tool guides us through four biblical steps to grow through relational tension and conflict. The Bible directs us to Align with Christ, Assess My Own Part, Appeal to the Other, and Agree to Restore.

Collaborative Process

Sometimes groups can get stuck trying figure out solutions or next steps to a problem or purpose.  It is often helpful to invite in a third party to help facilitate a collaborate process where the group can become more open to the real issues and possibilities. Of course, God must be brought into these discussions through the Bible and prayer.
